Unjust and dirty

Although the numbers cast for Democrats and Republicans in Pennsylvania's U.S. House races were almost even with Democrats receiving more votes than Republicans, the electoral results sent 13 Republicans to the House of Representatives vs. five Democrats. My own estimate is that only five out of the 18 districts are at all competitive. This lopsided result was largely due to how the congressional districts were drawn by the Republican Legislature in 2010 -- my own district, the 12th, being a particularly grotesque example.
There are many underhanded ways to win elections, but gerrymandering is one of the dirtiest. I know that in the spirit of fair-mindedness the PG has paid some attention to this issue in the past, but in the current partisan political environment the first corrective steps will have to involve your continued investigation and reporting on this grievous injustice.
