Two erroneous assumptions about terrorism

Two of our assumptions about terrorism are erroneous in my opinion.

One is that it is and should be our greatest fear, and two is that al-Qaida and the like can be killed. Terrorism and extremism will die of their own dead weight as communism did.

Admittedly, in the meantime, terrorists will be destructive; our intelligence and even drones should intercept a real attack. I believe most of the drone attacks are bogus.

What we are doing is stimulating and disseminating terrorists. Our real national security lies in a fundamental vitalization of education and creation of job opportunities. Invest our trillions there.
