The wrong track

I am totally shocked (not really) that the editors of your paper would choose to highlight a letter with the glaring headline "With Obama, the U.S. Is Going in the Right Direction" (Sept. 5). Anyone who owns a computer can easily Google RealClearPolitics.com and click on the ongoing tracking poll for the direction of the country.

The most recent average of all the polls that have asked Americans whether they think the country is headed in the right direction is definitive: 63 percent of Americans say we're on the wrong track. Only 31 percent of Americans say that we're on the right track.

In fairness to all your readers, I think you should provide equal billing to this letter with the headline: "Majority of Americans Believe Country Is Headed in the Wrong Direction."
