The notion of voter ID boosting turnout is fantasy

I opened my paper Thursday to the front page and read the following: "Pa. Secretary Says Voter ID Law Will Boost Election Day Turnout." What a crock that is. If you believe this statement, I have some beachfront property in New Mexico I would like to sell you.

Our Republican governor is trying to run one by us again. House Majority Leader Mike Turzai actually said that this law will deliver Pennsylvania to Mitt Romney in the presidential election. I have no doubt the state Supreme Court will split down the middle and it will become law.

I would advise people to help anyone who does not have proper ID to obtain it.
