Support Shell

Regarding the recently approved Shell tax credits: This is a region that has seen thousands of jobs leave for decades. I don't understand the pushback that is happening at a time when we have the chance to bring a number of these jobs back and put thousands of trade workers back to work.
Bringing Shell to Beaver County and building a petrochemical industry in this state will create tens of thousands of jobs for Pennsylvania workers.
The development phase of the project will create 10,000 construction jobs. Once completed, the plant is expected to support 400 direct operations jobs and more 10,000 jobs resulting from spin-off activities and the supply chain and chemical industries.
If it takes tax credits to bring this industry to Pennsylvania, then we should do it. The sheer number of potential jobs and overall economic activity will far exceed the investment that it will take to make this happen.
We need to come together and support this effort to bring Shell and thousands of jobs to Pennsylvania. We may never have an opportunity like this again.
