Stay home in Israel
Share with others:
It is outrageous that the head of a foreign country is interjecting himself into the presidential debate on U.S. soil. Benjamin Netanyahu, prime minister of Israel, is scheduled to deliver a warmongering speech against Iran on Sept. 27 before the United Nations General Assembly and afterward he is scheduled to meet with President Barack Obama.
The primary purpose of this highly political trip to New York City and Washington, D.C., is obviously to pressure the United States to back Israel in an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities just before the Nov. 6 election (Mr. Netanyahu's widely rumored "October surprise") and to give ammunition to the Republicans who wish to portray President Obama as weak on foreign affairs, particularly his support of Israel.
Both Republicans and Democrats should tell Mr. Netanyahu to stay home until after the election.
