Predictably, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are blaming everyone but themselves and their reactionary policies for their stunning election loss.
Mr. Romney says the only reason Mr. Obama won is because he gave "gifts" (like health care, more affordable college and the right of contraception) to African-Americans, Hispanics and women. And Mr. Ryan coins a new right-wing dog whistle by saying that Mr. Obama won due to "urban" voters (read: African-American).
In other words, what they're saying is that Mr. Obama wasn't elected by what they call "real Americans" (read: white).
Until these guys, and their colleagues in the Republican Party finally take their heads out of the sand and understand that the reason they didn't win is because Americans chose the party of the future, they're never going to get anywhere ... and that's a good thing.
