In his "America, Finally Home?" column (Oct. 25), George F. Will suffers the sin of omission, namely candidate Mitt Romney's trumpeting increased military spending, while candidate Barack Obama argues the contrary. Closer to our home in the 18th Congressional District, we are suffering the lack of attention on the part of incumbent Tim Murphy and challenger Larry Maggi, which is why our Westmoreland County church group, "Parking Lot Ministries," has been asking thousands of the Mass-attending Catholics the following: "With the current congressional warmongers' imposition of debt on the backs of Westmoreland taxpayers, we have to know what each candidate will do about cutting military spending. Give them a call and say: I vote in the 18th and I want to see a public, side-by-side debate on a variety of issues." Mr. Murphy's office: 412-344-5583. Mr. Maggi's campaign: 724-222-8273.
