Rogers' reprise

It's not surprising in an election year that Rob Rogers' reprise of his 10 "greatest" cartoons for 2012 ("The Next Page," Dec. 30) included seven that attacked Mitt Romney, other Republican presidential candidates or the Republican Party in general.
For diversity, and to fill out the selection with his other usual targets, the remaining three cartoons focused on gun control, global warming and a Roman Catholic priest speaking against contraception while the parishioners think about actions that promote contraception. And this was not the most egregious anti-Catholic blast of the year. (See Pope Benedict tweeting for the first time, Dec. 6.) An attack by Mr. Rogers on any other religion's beliefs would be the first.
