Republicans have put up roadblocks

I see stars when I hear Republicans spew their talking points over and over again about President Barack Obama having two years to do something with a Democratic Congress but not being able to do it. They have selective amnesia!
When President Obama took office, his legislation was opposed by "Blue Dog" conservative Democrats who voted with the Republicans. The Republicans in Congress held the American people hostage by filibustering and opposing all legislation and sabotaging job creation to portray him as a failed president. Millions of workers have suffered unbearable pain because of their ruthless quest for power.
It was the Bush administration that gutted this country by giving huge tax breaks to corporations for out-sourcing good-paying manufacturing jobs overseas and not funding both wars, Medicare Part D and the untold tax breaks to the 1 percent. It was the Bush administration that increased the budget by its reckless spending and policies for eight years.
The Republicans in Congress will continue on their current path of destruction to reach a goal to defeat the president in November. The American people will recognize their behavior and reward President Obama with a second term.
When President Obama took office, he found this country an empty shell. Trickle-down economics and out-sourcing were a failure. The president is trying his best to restore and rebuild this economy, brick by brick, putting people back to work with no help from a dysfunctional Republican House.
Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell will rue the day he said, "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president."
