Reg Henry's column of Feb.27 reads more like a press release of the Democratic Party than a fair analysis of sequestration. Why furlough air traffic controllers while continuing to give away billions of dollars in cell phones? Or delay production of new aircraft while leaving tens of thousands of troops scattered over the Earth guarding cornfields? Ditto for assisting the French in policing Mali, wherever that may be.
There isn't a living American, or an Australian-American in Mr. Henry's case, who doesn't know how much sheer waste is packed into every federal budget. Shame on the administration for not seeking out and cutting those dollars, and double that for Mr. Henry's knee-jerk acceptance of the liberal line.
