The recent Steubenville rape case was a tragedy. But some of the blame has to go on the shoulders of the victim's and the rapists' parents. Our country is getting a little too liberal with the way they treat their children. They all want to be the "cool parents" without realizing consequences that can occur with such liberalism.
Shouldn't these parents ask their children where they are going, what is the occasion and how long they will be? Also, should they not have checked, double-checked and checked again to make sure that no alcohol would be available at any function that these kids go to? And why have we not heard anything about how these 16-year-old kids got their hands on all of this alcohol? Some of the blame has to go on these people, too; they should have been arrested for furnishing alcohol to minors.
