Regarding "There's No Need to Feed Meter After 6 -- Yet" (Dec. 19): I have a message for the Pittsburgh City Council. Enforce your parking meters after 6 p.m. and you may be surprised at how much you affect city restaurants and stores in these neighborhoods.

Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, Oakland, Downtown and the South Side are all hard places to find parking. Now you want to charge for the pleasure of actually finding a parking spot after 6 p.m.? No, thank you.

I can drive to The Waterfront, Waterworks, Monroeville, McKnight Road, West Mifflin and many restaurants that have their own parking lots and not only find parking but park for free. The point you are missing is that Pittsburgh residents have a choice, and so do you.
