Outrageous protest 'for life'

On Jan. 25, the March for Life will be held in Washington, D.C., and I find it an outrage that it is being advertised in some parts of the nation. The March for Life is an anti-abortion protest held in Washington every year. And every year I get sick of fanatical right-wing Christians trying to shove the whole pro-life thing down my throat.

In Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court clearly ruled that a constitutional right to privacy permits abortions. Yes, we do have freedom of speech but we also have freedom of religion and separation of church and state. I am tired of people saying "America is a Christian nation." America is non-denominational when it comes to religions because the law does not favor any religions.

What everyone needs to worry about the most is the gun issue. Instead of a March for Life, or as I call it, the March Against Women's Right to Privacy, maybe we need to have a March for Gun Control and a March Against the Death Penalty (either of which would be a true March for Life.)

Now, not everyone who participates in the March for Life protest is involved with a religion, but some protest because they think it is "Jesus' will." Nothing in the Bible says anything about abortion being wrong.
