Our great city

As Pittsburgh continues to gain national recognition, I suggest that all of us who are fortunate to live here celebrate and take pride in our city.

In the past few weeks, we've been exposed to negative news and heard Mayor Luke Ravenstahl's surprise announcement that he will not seek re-election. As a member of City Council, I'm familiar with so many positive things happening now in Pittsburgh, as well as with plans and projects on the drawing board for the future.

Strong leaders will emerge to lead us forward, and we will work together to achieve common goals. We have a great city, and I am confident that we will continue to grow and prosper.

COREY O'CONNOR
Pittsburgh City Councilman
