Obedience factor

It is interesting that the March 6 article "American Catholics Want Modernity From Next Pope" is based on a poll of 580 "Catholic" adults. When I read things like this, I always wonder who these folks are who participate in surveys like this. Are they people who actively practice their faith, who realize the importance of obedience to our Holy Father?

I am an employee of a large corporation and while I have some great ideas (I think) about the way things should be run, I am also adult enough to know that it's not just about what I think.

The Catholic Church with God as its head is the author of so much good in this world, but all we ever hear is this chronic whining about how the church needs to do this or that. We are so filled with ourselves and so entitled that obedience is an outmoded idea.

While I certainly agree that child abuse in any organization (it happens in many institutions) needs to be aggressively dealt with, I am otherwise thankful to be a member of this most awesome organization.
