NRA logic?

If we apply the National Rifle Association's ideas to gun safety in the U.S. to the world situation then we all will be much safer when ALL nations have nuclear weapons.
It seems that this logic is not the answer in either case.
P.S.-- I'm not anti-gun, but I am anti-assault guns and high-capacity magazines.
