By my count the people in favor of some form of gun control is about 80 percent to 20 percent opposed if you tally the letters to the editor. However, the gun advocates are organized and those of us in favor of gun control are not. Have you tried to enroll in our local chapter of the Brady group for gun control? The closest chapter is in Philly.
To make people aware of any concern can only happen with boots on the ground. How effective would the two rape stories be in India and Ohio if the people were only writing letters to the editor? The Vietnam War was not ended with letters to the editor.
