No knives on board, please

As a flight attendant for over 29 years, as well as a local union president, I am very concerned about the Transportation Security Administration's recent decision to allow knives back on aircraft.

We flight attendants are responsible for the safety and security of the entire aircraft, and to now arm passengers with a concealed weapon is irresponsible and potentially dangerous. Furthermore, this reversal was made without any input or consideration from crews or passengers who could all be at risk.

Perhaps if TSA Administrator John Pistole's office was also at 35,000 feet, he would reconsider his stance on this reckless decision.

So far, more than 35,000 people agree and have shown support by signing the petition at www.noknivesonplanes.com. I urge you to do the same.

Let's continue to have the safest and most efficient aviation transportation system in the world.
