Naming rights

UPMC and Highmark are rich. Pittsburgh is not. Why doesn't the city offer naming rights with the higher bidder winning? We name museums after donors; we name bridges after famous people; let's name our city after a nonprofit that shows it truly cares about its host city.

I can see it now: "Pittsburgh: a healthy and wealthy UPMCity."

Or, if Highmark wins the bid, "Pittsburgh: a Highmark city."
