Monday's front-page photo of Andrew McCutchen's missed catch does not accurately reflect last Sunday's loss and should not represent the headline "20 Years of Futility." Andrew McCutchen ran like the wind to try to make that catch (which maybe should've been picked up by the right fielder?), looking anything less than "futile."
A better photo would've been Joel Hanrahan bouncing pitches across home plate or Jose Tabata's botched attempt to take third.
Pairing Mr. McCutchen's efforts with the team's sad record is inaccurate reporting of Sunday's game and not reflective of his level of play all season.
