The Pennsylvania Lottery -- right now -- can improve, implement any expansion approved by the Legislature and create any new games or programs that make sense. Privatizing is not necessary to this process and would have come at the expense of Pennsylvania jobs and our seniors' security.

State Attorney General Kathleen Kane has proved the value of having an independent attorney general who understands that her job is to be the legal representative of the people of Pennsylvania ("AG Calls New Lottery Contract Illegal," Feb. 15). Thank goodness for people like Ms. Kane.
