Israel's survival

In response to Samira Shaheen Hagerty ("When Will Palestinians Have Freedom?" July 13 letters) as to why we Presbyterians voted against the Palestinians regarding Israel: The answer in my view is simple. The Palestinians will not acknowledge that Israel has the right to exist and would destroy her if they could.
Israel is the holy land and needs to be defended to survive. The Palestinians should denounce terror, acknowledge Israel's right to exist and join Israel in renewed prosperity.
