Is Romney a 'birther' now?

Mitt Romney is now a "birther." When Mr. Romney stated, "No one has ever asked to see my birth certificate; they know that this is the place that we were born and raised," he was making a backhanded allegation regarding President Barack Obama's birth status.

Hawaii actually had to send documents to Arizona because the Arizona Tea Party alleges Mr. Obama wasn't born in the United States, making him not eligible for the presidency. Well, Hawaii proved he was and Arizona will put Mr. Obama on the November ballot.

Donald Trump made these allegations. Mr. Obama had to release his whole long-form birth certificate and Mr. Trump still had questions. Why? Because it's easy to appeal to hate.

You expect this birther stuff from Tea Party loons. The Tea Party is filled with them. Their lack of logic and common sense astounds me. I worked with one, and it was amazing that an educated and intelligent man was so filled with hate of any non-conservative. Others in the Tea Party want to reduce the deficit and cut spending, but they don't want the government laying its hands on their Medicare.

Is Mr. Romney a birther? If he actually thinks that way, he obviously shouldn't be given nuclear launch codes. If he's just appealing to the birthers, then Mr. Romney hasn't a moral bone in his body.
