Regarding Carnegie Mellon's high-technology traffic signal timing system: I had a good laugh after reading this article and remembering moving from one green light to the next red light only feet away as I inched around Target in East Liberty on Penn Avenue and Penn Circle only recently.

I think someone needs to go back to the drawing board.
