ID redux

Those of us who oppose the unfair voter ID requirement in Pennsylvania were relieved five weeks ago when the ruling was blocked as there is no evidence that voter fraud has been an issue.

However, when I got to the polls Tuesday morning at the Rec Center in Mt. Lebanon I was asked for my ID. When I refused to show it, I was told that it was not required and I was able to vote.

Since ID is not required they should not have asked for it. If word got to the back of the long lines of people waiting to vote that poll workers were asking for ID, it could likely have caused potential voters to go home without exercising their right to vote.
