Gun restrictions

The letter by Jerry T. Fink ("The GOP Acts to Restrict Voting but Not Guns," Aug. 25) was as ignorant of fact as I have ever read. Nobody but the Obama Justice Department strives to put guns in the hands of the undocumented, the criminals and the insane.
Mr. Fink should understand that there are indeed laws that restrict gun ownership of the mentally incapable and that valid ID is always a requirement to purchase a firearm in the United States. That is, unless President Obama's U.S. attorney general is selling them.
