GOP hypocrisy

The GOP is freaking out over broadcaster Bob Costas' "lecture" on gun control during last week's Sunday Night Football game. Yes, most gun owners are responsible. The GOP would argue that you should not punish all gun owners because of a few bad seeds.
However, when it comes to welfare, food stamps and the WIC (women, infants and children) program, the GOP takes the other side of this argument. It has been proved that a majority of those people on public assistance are using those services legally and responsibly. However, the GOP would prefer to see everyone deprived of those services, citing the irresponsibility of a small percentage of the recipients as justification.
Certainly others can also see this blatant hypocrisy?
