GOP control goal

I want to urge everyone to double check their voter registration and photo ID and make sure everything matches. I got one of those letters from the state reminding me to make sure I have proper photo ID; I thought this was strange since I do have a valid driver's license. Well, to make a long story short, I discovered on my voter registration that my birth month was wrong. The clerk updated my information and issued me a new voter registration card. Now, I don't know if this mix-up would have caused me any problems in November. At least now I know all my information is correct including my party affiliation as a Democrat!

Someone wrote a while back that the Republicans should be ashamed of themselves over this new voter ID law. I hate to tell him or her this, but the Republicans have no shame because (I believe) they want total control. They started back when they tried to impeach President Bill Clinton. And let's not forget the 2000 (Florida) and 2004 (Ohio) elections that put and kept George W. Bush in the White House. And now this year we have all these states with Republicans passing voter ID laws just months before a very crucial election.
