This is in response to the letter writer from Fombell, Beaver County, who unwittingly said, "God has abandoned his faithful! How can a conservative God allow the re-election of a liberal Democrat?" ("Voters' Judgment," Nov. 8). There is a saying that God works in mysterious ways. He may have just wanted to give the people of this country a smack upside the head with a double dose of a bad thing just to get their attention.
By the way, God is not an independent, he is a conservative. He fed the poor and healed the sick without the help of the government.
