Get to work

I am outraged! The first news story I heard Friday morning was that the sequester cannot be stopped because "most of the Senate and the House have gone home for the weekend." WHAT?

These people work for the American people, we pay them a generous salary, we give them more than generous benefits, and they can't work on a Friday to stop government cuts that are going to effect most Americans.

There is work to be done. What gives anyone the right to go home when there are negotiations to be conducted, votes to be taken and problems to be solved.

We elected these people to run our country. The least they could do is work a five-day week. Get back to work and do what you were elected to do.
