Regarding "Starzl's Transplant Work Awarded" (Sept. 11): Dr. Thomas Starzl is genius of the century and my hero.

My daughter had a liver transplant nine years ago by Dr. Paulo Fontes at the Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute at UPMC Montefiore. Because of Dr. Starzl and other surgeons, she is alive today. There are not enough words to express our gratitude and tribute to Dr. Starzl and Dr. Fontes.
