In regard to Sophie Masloff's distress about the voter ID law: She inadvertently made a good point for the need for such a law. Why would an 18-year-old committee worker be able to vote when the law at that time required a voter to be 21 years of age or older?
The idea of the voter ID law is to help keep elections honest and lawful.
