Fire them all

In regard to this mess our country found itself in on March 1, we, the voters, put these politicians in office, right? Basically, we hired them.
Our taxes pay their salaries, right?
They are not doing the job they were hired to do.
They get more perks than you could possibly get from five pounds of Folger's coffee.
If they were working in the private sector and did not do the job they were hired to do, they would be fired, right?
They, in a lot of cases, do not get along with their co-workers. What company would put up with that?
Could we possibly just fire the whole bunch and start over?
