Extreme message

I learned something interesting when I read Father Sean McCaulley's Dec. 1 letter ("Dignity Matters"), in which he tells us that he voted to reelect President Barack Obama in spite of the president's extreme pro-abortion stance.

Father McCaulley essentially tells us that he had no choice but to vote as he did, because of the issues of war, poverty, the environment, slavery and health. This can only mean one thing -- that according to Father McCaulley, Mitt Romney is in favor of war, poverty and slavery, and against the environment and health! I don't remember hearing any of that from the Romney campaign.

If Father McCaulley and his friends really believe this, it is no surprise that Mr. Romney lost the election. The real question now then is, what is the source of this outrageous demagoguery?
