In reading how miffed former Mayor Sophie Masloff was over the voter ID law I was moved. I believe she should receive an Academy Award for the No. 1 drama queen against the voter ID law.

When she said "I am in terrible distress," her comments put me right there with her. When she indicated that she does not have an ID because she tore up her driver's license, I was speechless. It was so dramatic! Then Sophie heard all the horror stories of long lines and confusion from her neighbors. It literally put me there, whining with them.

I thought I was there in the Squirrel Hill Refugee Camp for citizens without IDs. If the beloved former Pittsburgh mayor does not get the award for No. 1 drama queen of the 2012 voter ID law, there is something wrong in the world.
