Conservative at heart

Why do so many fear the word "conservative"? We believe there are many of you out there who do not call yourself "conservative" but in your hearts you feel the same about many issues.
Ask yourself, do I really believe that a Republican would ban birth control or access to abortion in the case of rape, incest or life of the mother? Has this ever happened under any Republican administration -- no it has not!
Many feel gay people should have domestic partnership rights and that's OK, but do you really appreciate gay marriage and other lifestyles being glamorized and presented as normal to your children and grandchildren?
Are you concerned that the Catholic Church must now go completely against its long-held beliefs or be penalized? Wake up! What makes you think that your religious freedoms are not going to be next?
Have you been getting new addendums to your health care insurance, are your rates and co-pays already going up? Ours are! Obamacare is what worries us, as senior citizens. Will Medicare still be around for us, our children or grandchildren if something is not done to correct it?
Do you know anyone personally who lost his or her job, or cannot find one, and has been told by an employer that it is not hiring because of the uncertainty of the changing health care laws and possible tax increases? We do!
Don't be blindsided, get all the facts! Polls such as the one appearing on page 10 of the Sept. 27 PG (President Obama leading in Pennsylvania by 9 percent to 12 percent) show the survey demographics as 28 percent Republican and 39 percent Democratic. That accounts for 11 points!
Above all, make your vote count. Be sure to vote!
