Congress' masters

Once again, after a national tragedy, certain lobbyist groups must initiate a defense for the National Rifle Association and its control over our Congress and gun laws. We hear such statements as "Now is not the time to discuss it," or this old favorite, "There are laws already in place to correct these problems."

I believe these are the same groups that demand more laws be created concerning voter registration even though "there are laws already in place."

We all know that Congress is now controlled by the NRA lobbyists and members of the Grover Norquist union. The proverbial shadows behind the scenes are no longer hidden.

Something must be done, and I submit that one of those things should be that the contributions from these controlling groups be monitored because the price for votes will probably cost more to overcome public sentiment. Nothing comes cheap in Congress.
