Clearly uncaring

The Sept. 10 column by Ruth Ann Dailey ("Obama's Muscle Threatens Liberty") makes very clear the policies of the Republican Party. Quoting from her column she indicates that she and the Republican Party oppose government support "for food, housing, retirement or health care."

The implications are clear. If poor people are hungry let them starve.

If families cannot find affordable housing let them live under bridges.

If people cannot save enough for retirement they should not live so long.

If there is no affordable health care for many poor families let the poor children die.

After all, the rich will not suffer from such policies and they are the ones who finance the Republican Party.
