Regarding chef Kevin Sousa ("New Restaurant on Menu in Braddock," June 20): I have a great old friend, a vineyard owner on Long Island, who thinks the world is "going to hell" -- mostly because his 11 children haven't ever had to work very hard. I'd like to introduce him to Mr. Sousa, who is one of the most uplifting people I know.

And with Mr. Sousa's move to Braddock (sharing a high-end kitchen with Meals on Wheels; having a takeout window for the neighborhood; planting community gardens; creating another fabulous destination restaurant to enjoy!), my sense is just the opposite of my friend's: With broad-minded and farsighted clever people like Kevin Sousa in our midst, we are in the right hands.
