Campaign residue

I took a drive across the great state of Pennsylvania last week -- all the way across, back and forth on a business trip to New Jersey. I was pleasantly surprised to see that almost all of the endless campaign signs had been removed, as required by law. But someone has left quite a mess behind her.

Yes, I am talking about our local Mon Valley candidate Diana Irey Vaughan, who lost in her bid for state treasurer. I saw enough of her signs the other day, scattered all across the state, to fill a pickup truck and then some.

As I recall, there is quite a big fine for leaving these eyesores out there for four more years. So come on, Ms. Irey Vaughan, go clean up your mess.
