Buncher doesn't need public financing help

I appreciate Joe Grata's letter giving a brief history of Buncher Co. ("Remember History in Weighing Strip Proposal," July 10). It appears that it would be beneficial for all city council members to educate themselves on Buncher's history costing local taxpayers millions of dollars. Now we are to support giving additional tax-free financing?

Buncher will make a hefty profit if what it claims to want to build happens. It does not need any more financial support on the backs of local taxpayers who are losing public transportation funding.

The land that Buncher now wants was to be used for a much-needed commuter rail service to town. This land should not be used for anything else. Let Buncher pay for what it wants like everyone else.
