Well, after $700,000, the first snow storm put to rest any thought of McArdle Roadway, our main route from Mount Washington, being repaired. It had to be closed temporarily due to mud slides three times in the past month.

It's still an unsolved mystery as to who removed the trees from the hillside. Really? Equally mind-boggling and frustrating is the fact that Allegheny County, the city of Pittsburgh and the Port Authority cannot do what it takes to open the under-utilized Wabash Tunnel one lane inbound, one outbound, no restrictions, at least in the winter, to give us a safer route off the Mount besides the cow paths of Sycamore and Greenleaf Streets.

Incredible.
