Avoiding their share

In reference to Brian O'Neill's Sept. 2 column "Cracker Plant Tax Break May Leave Schools With Crumbs," it is amazing how large corporations like Shell talk about the importance of education, yet do all they can so they do not have to pay their fair share of school taxes.

Locally we can add UPMC, Mellon, PNC, the Steelers, the Pirates and the hockey team to the list of organizations that have been able to avoid paying their fair share of school taxes.
