A tragic lesson

The tragic death of Jacintha Saldanha, the nurse who committed suicide after a radio prank, should teach everyone an important lesson.

Hospitals, people who work for law enforcement, day care centers, etc., don't have time for stupid pranks. They are overworked enough.

Invading a patient's privacy is not funny. Had Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, been suffering a very serious medical condition, her secret would have been aired on the radio.

Granted, we've all done something stupid in our lives. Many times luck has saved us from ill fate, but the case of Jacintha Saldanha did not get "too much" attention. Someone died.

Humor is a tricky business. An intelligent comedian can pull it off without degrading or humiliating anyone.
