A shameful Pa. cut

With the elimination of most provisions of the General Assistance cash assistance program, the Pennsylvania Legislature and governor have chosen to help balance the state budget on the backs of the most abjectly vulnerable citizens of Pennsylvania, who will no longer be eligible for all of $205 per month for basic subsistence.

This is a time for the governor, members of the Legislature and Department of Public Welfare and every Pennsylvanian to hang his or her head in shame.
