911 call response

The police report that they responded to the 911 call to the house of Ka'Sandra Wade the day before she was found dead and that they left after 10 minutes after a discussion through a window with a male who assured them that everything was all right ("Police Looking Into 911 Call," Jan. 6).
It seems to me that if the police receive a 911 call where there are sounds of a commotion, they should, at the very minimum, insist on speaking to the person who made the call.
