Four people, including two federal police officers, were killed in what the Mexican Army said on Friday appeared to be first case of a car bomb in the country's drug war. The explosives were detonated by a cellphone call, sending the car into two police trucks in the border city of Ciudad Juárez. The secretary of public security said that the attack late Thursday appeared to be in retaliation for the arrest earlier in the day of a top drug lieutenant, Jesús Armando Acosta Guerrero, the operations leader of La Linea, the enforcement arm of the Juárez cartel.
