Storms knock out power in western Pennsylvania

Evening thunderstorms knocked out power for thousands of people living in western Pennsylvania Friday night.

As of 11:30 p.m., West Penn Power was reporting about 21,000 power outages in Fayette County, 12,000 outages in Washington County, 2,000 outages in Westmoreland County and 33 outages in Allegheny County.

Meteorologists are predicting a 30 to 40 percent chance of thunderstorms on Saturday.
