A work crew digging a ditch accidentally struck a natural gas line on Monday, causing a giant explosion in a rural area near Cleburne, about 50 miles southwest of Dallas. Brian Fine, the Hood County emergency management coordinator, told The Associated Press that one worker's body was found Monday night some distance from the blast site. The victim's name was not released. Thirteen other workers were accounted for, and Capt. Jerry East with the county sheriff's office said that six people were taken to a hospital and that four of them had been released. He did not know the status of the others.
